In September of 2006, Celebrate Hilton Head (CH2) burst onto the scene with a fresh perspective on Hilton Head Island, Bluffton and the surrounding Low Country of South Carolina. At the helm was a team of talented young women (all under the age of 30) with no experience whatsoever in the publishing industry.
During the first year, they made up the rules as they went along. Now entering their fourth year, CH2 and CB2 (Celebrate Bluffton and Beyond) Magazines have both evolved into well-respected publications, with over 150 advertisers and a monthly printed circulation of over 47,000 copies to both locals and visitors to Hilton Head, Bluffton and throughout the Lowcountry region.
Content for the magazines includes “Interesting Islander” profiles, arts and entertainment pieces, and food and wine srticles that feature some of Hilton Head and Bluffton’s finest businesses and restaurants.
CH2’s “Bachelor of the Year” contest has blossomed into a highly anticipated media event each year, with social media marketing (Facebook and Twitter) contributing to the annual readership of the issues that provide professional coverage of the contest, as well as promoting the event to over 700 people that attend the “Bachelor of the Year” party, which is held every October at a local Hilton Head or Bluffton entertainment venue.
